The centre of most activity in the warm climate of the Pilansberg is the swimming pool, set away from the main lodge, but joined by wooden walkways. Sun loungers ensure your complete relaxation, set under indigenous trees and umbrellas. A further stroll on the walkway will bring you to the boma with braai facilities and fireplace for those evenings in the bush around the bush TV (the fire!). Endless clear starry nights can be enjoyed around the fire, whilst listening to the sounds of the bushveld night.

The Lodge comes complete with game viewer and 2 well experienced field guides, offering 2 x 3 hour game drives a day, or one extended drive to a maximum of 6 hours. The fences have been removed between Black Rhino Reserve and Pilansberg National Park and all game is free to roam the entire area, over 55,000 hectares of unique alkaline volcanic crater.

Restaurant

A self catering option allows you the freedom to do as you please, and eat when it suits you, a valuable alternative to rigid meal and activity times. However, should you feel the need to treat yourselves, the Black Rhino Game Lodge restaurant is within walking distance of Kgorogoro Lodge. It offers a full catering option for guests staying at Kgorogoro. Should you wish to treat yourselves to a meal at this restaurant, you may also be rewarded with a game sighting at the local water hole. Bar facilities are available. Prior booking is required.
